The Canada Emergency Wage Subsidy program will be the focus of an information session presented by Brock University and the Canada Revenue Agency on Thursday, May 6.
The free virtual event, set to take place from 10 to 11:30 a.m., is the latest in a series of seminars offered by Brock LINC that focus on economic recovery in the COVID-19 era. Everyone is welcome to attend.
The Canada Emergency Wage Subsidy program is available to employers who have experienced a decrease in revenue as a result of the pandemic. Employers may be eligible to receive a subsidy to cover a portion of their employees’ pay. The program is intended to prevent additional job losses by enabling organizations to keep employees on payroll, re-hire workers and facilitate a return to normal operations. The program is currently offered until June, with a potential extension until September.
