Reminder: Deadline for Brock employees, students to enrol in MFA is Wednesday

The deadline to join Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is now less than 24 hours away.

The University is encouraging all members of the Brock community to join MFA by Wednesday, Oct. 7 to not only protect their individual data and accounts, but also to protect Brock’s data and accounts from cyber security attacks.

All staff, faculty and students must go through the online on-boarding process by selecting one of these authentication methods and following the setup process outlined on the ITS website. MFA will begin on the user’s account within 24 hours.

“Universities across Canada are facing an increasing number and variety of threats to their cyber security,” said Lynn Wells, Provost and Vice-President, Academic. “To keep our teaching, learning and research activities safe, we’re introducing the MFA process. It’s easy to initialize and will help to keep Brock community members safe, especially during this period when technology is so important for our daily activities.”

For more information, visit Brock’s MFA website or watch the MFA video below.

If users face any difficulties with Brock’s applications on Oct. 7, they should contact the ITS Help Desk at ithelp@brocku.ca
