Town Hall meetings will gauge progress in achieving Strategic Plan goals

During the coming academic year, Brock University’s senior administrators will hold online Town Hall meetings to gain insights and engage in dialogue about the community’s progress in fulfilling the goals of the Institutional Strategic Plan.

The meetings will be hosted live by President Gervan Fearon, as well as Lynn Wells, Provost and Vice-President, Academic, and Tim Kenyon, Vice-President, Research. These meetings will be open to all faculty members, librarians, staff and students.

The first meeting, scheduled for Friday Sept. 25 from 9 to 11 a.m., will focus on two strategic plan priority areas: “Offering a transformational and accessible academic and university experience,” and “Building research capacity across the University.”

The meetings will start with a short overview presentation, followed by a virtual ‘open floor’ discussion with questions being submitted to the speakers.

Instructions for logging into the town hall and submitting questions will be communicated to the Brock community closer to the event.

A second town hall meeting on the remaining two Strategic Plan priority areas is scheduled for April 2021.

As well, two additional town hall meetings are also planned for this Fall and Winter to provide an update on the financial health of the University, as has been done in years past. Details will follow in the coming months.
