The following is a list of thesis defences taking place virtually from Monday, Aug. 17 to Friday, Aug. 21.

Master of Science thesis defence

Scott L. Cocker, a Master of Science candidate in the Department of Earth Sciences, will defend his thesis titled “The utilisation of coprophilous fungal spores for discerning late Quaternary megaherbivore extinctions in Canada” on Monday, Aug. 17 at 10 a.m. in virtual format.

Master of Science thesis defence

Sajal Saha, a Master of Science candidate in the Department of Computer Science, will defend his thesis titled “Data mining using L-fuzzy concept analysis” on Monday, Aug. 17 at 2 p.m. via video conference.

Master of Psychology thesis defence

Brock DeGagne, a master of Psychology (Social and Personality) candidate, will defend the thesis “My Life Compared to Others: Examining the Impact of Better or Worse off Comparisons on Young Adults’ Beliefs about how their Life Satisfaction is Unfolding Over Time” on Tuesday, Aug. 18 at 10 a.m. via video conference.

Master of Applied Disability Studies thesis defence

Madeline Asaro, a master of Applied Disability Studies candidate, will defend the thesis “A Comparison of Interdependent and Dependent Group Contingencies to Increase Physical Activity in Students During Recess” on Tuesday, Aug. 18 at 1 p.m. via video conference.

Master of Child and Youth Studies thesis defence

Carolyn Hare, a master of Child and Youth Studies candidate, will defend the thesis “Effects of Sensory Processing Patterns on Inhibitory Control as a Function of ADHD-traits and Trait Anxiety” on Thursday, Aug. 20 at 9 a.m. via video conference.
