Two Days of Canada conference archive now online

Thirty-four years of conference history is now online, thanks to the hard work of Elaine Aldridge-Low, an administrative assistant for Brock University’s Centre for Canadian Studies.

Aldridge-Low began the project when she realized that information about past Two Days of Canada conferences was not gathered together in one place, inspiring her to track down hard copies of past conference programs and posters.

Using the University archives and contacting past and present faculty, she was able to find and scan many of the documents and worked with Natalie Castelli, a web designer with Brock’s University Marketing and Communications, to create the site.

“We learned a lot during this process and some of the artwork is really quite well done,” says Aldridge-Low. “You can see how the conference has evolved and changed.”

Some of the posters have been plaque-mounted and hung in the Canadian Studies hallway in the Glenridge Avenue (GLN-A) building. Conference programs, including paper abstracts, and posters are available for download. Anyone with information for missing years is invited to contact the Centre for Canadian Studies.
