Badgers game day: Where to watch on campus

Brock’s renowned sports fans will have a chance to show their spirit from afar over the next few days.

With the Brock Badgers women’s basketball team competing in the U SPORTS Final 8 Basketball Championships in Ottawa and the women’s volleyball team vying for the OUA title in Toronto, members of the Brock community are encouraged to cheer both teams on in their finest red clothing in several locations on campus.

The women’s basketball action gets underway Thursday, March 5 at 3 p.m., when the Badgers  take on the University of Calgary Dinos in a quarter-final game. Screens in the Guernsey Market, Hungry Badger and Walker Sports Complex will be streaming the game live, while BUSU will be hosting a gathering of spirited supporters to watch the game at Isaac’s. Fans can also livestream any of the team’s U Sports Final 8 Basketball games from their own devices on CBCSports.ca, CBC Gem and the CBC Sports app for iOS and Android devices.

Depending on results, the women’s basketball team will take to the court again Friday, March 6, at either 1 or 3 p.m. or on Saturday at 1 or 3 p.m. Interested fans can catch the action on screens in the Guernsey Market, Hungry Badger or Walker Sports Complex.

Those same screens will also broadcast the women’s volleyball semi-final against the University of Guelph Gryphons beginning at 6:30 p.m. Coverage of the volleyball match is also available to stream on OUA.tv

Further women’s basketball and women’s volleyball action will take place Saturday, March 7 and Sunday, March 8 with updated viewing times and options to be posted on the Brock Badgers social media platforms.
