Monster Pitch deadline approaching

With the application deadline quickly approaching, student entrepreneurs looking to take their business idea to the next level are encouraged to apply for this year’s Monster Pitch event.

The annual pitch competition, inspired by CBC’s Dragon’s Den, provides teams of Brock students the opportunity to pitch their business ideas to a panel of judges. These entrepreneurs will compete for a cash prize and support services that can help them bring their idea to life.

Monster Pitch is run by the Brock Innovation Group (BIG) in partnership with Goodman Group — Venture Development and the Goodman School of Business.

Students from all Faculties can apply, however each team must be comprised of at least 50 per cent current Brock students.

Applications will be processed by a selection committee, with the most promising proposals moving forward to the next step — pitching their venture to a panel of experts. The finalists will get to present their idea to the celebrity judges and network with industry professionals at the finals to be held on March 27.

Applications are due by 11:55 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 26 through the Goodman Group website.
