Launch of new library search tool now set for Dec. 12

The Brock community will need to wait a couple of extra days before putting Brock Library’s new collaborative academic search tool to the test.

Originally set for Tuesday, the launch of Omni, which will replace SuperSearch on the Brock Library homepage is now set for Thursday, Dec. 12. Omni is a new, easy-to-use academic search tool that gives users access to high-quality resources from 14 Ontario university libraries, and a mobile-friendly user experience. Omni will also include 120-day loan periods, unlimited renewals, and no more late fees for regular print materials.

To help launch the new system, there will be a demonstration at 2 p.m. Thursday next to the Ask Us Desk in the library with Omni-themed cake being served.

As with any transition to a new system, users might experience some minor issues along the way. If you encounter any unusual challenges or have questions, please contact libhelp@brocku.ca
