Full-service Starbucks and Tim Hortons coming to campus

The University’s collection of food facilities will be expanding in the coming months, with two familiar names about to become more visible at Brock.

Construction will start this month in Guernsey Market on a Starbucks retail store that will be the first on campus to be fully licensed by Starbucks Coffee Canada. Some Starbucks products are currently available at campus outlets through an arrangement with the Nestle-Starbucks proudly brewed program.

The new Brock location — which will be the eighth full Starbucks location in St. Catharines and 27th in the Niagara region — will offer the full Starbucks menu of beverages, breakfast and lunch offerings, including new items such as nitro brew and premium signature drinks.

The new outlet is expected to be completed this winter.

Meantime, at the west end of campus, The Hungry Badger food court area will become home next year to a new free-standing Tim Hortons, which will offer that company’s full beverage and food menu.

Located near the Walker Sports Complex, the new Tim Hortons is slated to open in the summer of 2020.

“We continually hear about these brands through our customer and student surveys,” said Malcolm Dales, Director, Dining Services. “These two new locations are great additions to the food experience on campus.”
