Tickets available for 10th annual Trivia Night

Have you been looking for an excuse to show off your knowledge of ’90s one-hit wonders or viral tweets? The 10th annual Brock University Trivia Night for United Way on Friday, Nov. 8 is your chance.

Tickets for the event, which take place at Club Roma in St. Catharines from 6 to 10 p.m., are now available online for $25 per person. The deadline to purchase tickets is Friday, Nov. 1.

Teams of eight are recommended, but individuals and small groups are also encouraged to register. Team members will identify their team name or team captain when purchasing tickets online. Participants outside of the Brock community are welcome to attend.

Doors open at 6 p.m., with a pasta dinner being served at 6:30 p.m. Trivia will follow dinner, with questions covering a range of topics, such as ad jingles, sports statistics, one-hit wonders from the ’90s, famous tweets, TV characters and politics. Answer formats may include lists, guestimates and multiple choice.

The evening will also include a cash bar and a penny sale featuring more than 50 prizes.

In addition to supporting the event by purchasing tickets, employees are encouraged to donate a prize to the raffle. Single items, gift cards and themed baskets are popular choices. Creative ways to contribute include re-gifting unused birthday presents or stag and doe prizes, as well as using credit card, Areoplan, AirMiles or other reward points to purchase a gift card. Contact Michelle Leone at mleone@brocku.ca or x3120 for prize pick up.

Thanks to the continued support of the Brock community, last year’s event raised more than $3,900 for United Way.
