Thesis defences — Oct. 28 – Nov. 1

The following is a list of thesis defences taking place at Brock from Monday, Oct. 28 to Friday, Nov. 1.

All are open for the University community to attend.

Master of Science thesis defence

Matthew Craig Mueller, a Master of Science candidate in the Department of Biological Sciences, will defend his thesis titled “Quantification of gamma-secretase activity in an endogenous context reveals biphasic GSI-mediated Notch/APP selectivity switch and the novel detection of potential proteolytic cleavage fragments of the Notch Intracellular Domain” on Wednesday, Oct. 30 at 9:30 a.m. in WH 147.

The examination committee includes Kirill Samokhin, Chair; Aleksandar Necakov, Supervisor; Juan Carlos Zuniga-Pflucker, External Examiner (University of Toronto); and Jens Coorssen and Rebecca MacPherson, Committee Members.

PhD in Educational Studies Comprehensive Portfolio defence

Education student Jhonel Morvan will defend the Portfolio “A Quest for Equity in School Mathematics: The Centrality of School Leadership” onWednesday, Oct. 30 at 2 p.m. in WH 147.

The examination committee includes Fiona Blaikie, Chair; Camille Rutherford, External Examiner; Joyce Mgombelo, Supervisor; Denise Armstrong, Committee Member; and Andrew Allen, Committee Member (University of Windsor).
