Volunteers needed to join Brock float in Grande Parade

Volunteers are needed to showcase their school spirit in downtown St. Catharines Saturday, Sept. 28.

Interested students, alumni, faculty and staff will join in one of the region’s largest events by accompanying the Brock University float in the Niagara Grape and Wine Festival’s Meridian Grande Parade.

This year’s theme is ‘Red’ and will see Brock’s famous primary colour take over the streets as participants dance, high-five and demonstrate the Brock experience along the parade route.

Participants should plan to wear red clothing and meet in downtown St. Catharines at 10:30 a.m. on Lake St. between Lowell Ave. and Dufferin St., where the Brock float will be located. Once there, they will also be provided with a Brock T-shirt. The parade itself will go from 11 a.m. until approximately 1 p.m.

A free shuttle to and from the University will be provided, with buses departing from Brock’s Schmon Tower bus loop at 9:30 a.m. and returning once the parade is complete.

To register, RSVP on ExperienceBU or contact Kailene Jackson at kjackson2@brocku.ca or ext. 6321. If you have an accommodation request, please let us know by contacting studentlife@brocku.ca
