British marketing professors to share research strategies

Crafting an effective research strategy on timely and interesting issues in the business world can be challenging. On Friday, Sept. 27, the Goodman School of Business Luncheon Speakers Series will welcome two researchers who have developed guidelines to help fellow researchers achieve this objective.

Constantine Katsikeas and Stavroula Spyropoulou from the Leeds University Business School (LUBS) will present “Pursuing Research that Makes a Significant Contribution to Knowledge: Strategic Guidelines and Some Applications.”

Katsikeas is a Professor of Marketing and International Management, as well as Founder and Director of the Global and Strategic Marketing Research Center at University of Leeds, United Kingdom. He is Editor – Marketing of Journal of International Business Studies and Associate Editor of Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science. His articles have appeared in distinguished journals such as the Journal of World Business, Journal of Marketing, Strategic Management Journal and others.

Spyropoulou is also a Professor of Marketing at LUBS. Her research interests include international marketing, competitive strategies and performance outcomes, cross-cultural buyer-seller relationships, and marketing strategy. She has articles published in internationally recognized academic journals including Journal of International Marketing, British Journal of Management, International Marketing Reviewand European Journal of Marketing among others.

The Goodman Speaker Series provides an informal opportunity to listen and discuss recent advances in research, teaching and practices with international business colleagues.

Their talk will run from 12:30 to 2 p.m. in the Goodman School of Business room 310. Goodman faculty, staff and students are invited to attend.
