Tickets go on sale Monday for Brock International events

Brock University students have the chance to experience some of Ontario’s top tourist attractions and popular summer events over the next month through Brock International.

The series of events and activities offer a chance to not only experience Niagara, but also to meet fellow Brock Badgers who have come to St. Catharines from around the world.

Tickets go on sale Monday, June 24 and must be purchased by Friday, July 5 to secure a spot. Learn more about the available opportunities below:

Canada Day fireworks at Niagara Falls — Monday, July 1

Join Brock International for the 2019 Canada Day festivities in Niagara Falls to celebrate the country’s 152nd birthday in one of its most iconic destinations. Students can register for free transportation to and from the concert and fireworks display in Queen Victoria Park, but must reserve their ticket in advance on the University Tickets website.

Ping-Pong tournament — Wednesday, July 3

Showcase your skills at Brock International’s inaugural Ping-Pong tournament. The single player, knockout-style tournament takes place on Wednesday, July 3 from 5 to 7 p.m at the International Centre (located on the east end of campus). Great prizes are available to be won, including a $100 Visa gift card for the tournament champ.

All Brock students are welcome to attend, but advanced registration is required through ExperienceBU.

Niagara Falls day trip — Saturday, July 6

Students can take in the beauty of Niagara Falls in the summer. Visit the Falls, explore the shops and exhibits that line Clifton Hill or test your luck at the Great Canadian Midway.

Tickets for the day trip, which includes transportation, are free for students from the SELP/Explore program, and $10 for all other Brock students. Learn more and secure a seat on the University Tickets website.

Canada’s Wonderland — Saturday, July 13

Calling all ride-warriors. Join Brock International for a day at Canada’s largest amusement park. Wonderland features more than 200 attractions to choose from including Yukon Striker, the world’s fastest, tallest and longest dive roller-coaster.

Tickets are $87.50 and include admission, an all-you-can-eat lunch buffet and transportation to and from the park. Learn more and secure a seat on the University Tickets website.

Whirlpool Jet Boat Tour — Saturday, July 20

This thrilling day includes a one-hour high-speed ride upriver into the Niagara Gorge, through the Devil’s Hole rapids and to the edge of the whirlpool. Participants experience not only the beautiful scenery, but also the history of the Niagara Gorge, Niagara Falls and the War of 1812 as they feel the rush of Class V whitewater rapids.

Following the excitement on the water, guests will visit Niagara-on-the-Lake.

Tickets are $62.50 and include transportation, one of two Whirlpool Jet Boat Tour time-slots and free time in Niagara-on-the-Lake. Only 80 tickets will be made available. Spots can be secured on the University Tickets website.

Toronto Blue Jays Game — Saturday, July 27

Watch the Toronto Blue Jays take on the Tampa Bay Rays at Rogers Centre in downtown Toronto.

Tickets are $55 and include one game ticket and transportation to and from the game. Only 80 tickets will be made available. Spots can be secured on the University Tickets website.

Niagara-on-the-Lake winery tour — Tuesday, July 30

Join Brock International on Tuesday, July 30 to take a behind-the-scenes tour at Pillitteri Estates Winery. Participants will learn about the unique process of making wine while tasting some of the best vintages Niagara has to offer.

Tickets, which include a tour, tasting and transportation, can be purchased online for $12.50. Please note, ticket holders must be over 19 years of age as of July 29 to purchase a ticket for this trip. Only 45 tickets are available. Spots can be secured on the University Tickets website.
