The Faculty of Mathematics and Science invites all members of the Brock community to its Celebration of Excellence Friday, Jan. 25.
Now in its fifth year, the annual event highlights the accomplishments and efforts being made by various individuals from the University’s Math and Science departments. Through its first four years, 41 different staff and faculty members have been recognized in front of their colleagues and peers.
This year’s ceremony will feature a total of 11 award presentations in the following categories:
- Distinguished Teaching Award
- Distinguished Research Award
- Distinguished Staff Award
- Student Experience, Recruitment and Outreach Award
- Lifetime Achievement Award — Faculty
- Lifetime Achievement Award — Staff
- Experiential Educational Leadership Award
- Math and Science Council Excellence in Teaching and Student Engagement Award
The event will run from 3 to 4:30 p.m. in Pond Inlet and is open to the public. Those interested in attending are asked to RSVP to dwitte@brocku.ca by Friday, Jan. 18. Refreshments will be served.
