Campus Security investigating two collisions near campus

A pair of drivers involved in motor vehicle collisions on or near campus this week are being sought by Campus Security.

On Monday, Jan. 21 at 4:37 p.m., a black Hyundai Santa Fe was struck from behind by a black Nissan while travelling east on Sir Isaac Brock Way between Glenridge Ave. and John MacDonnell Dr. The Nissan then changed lanes and was last seen turning right onto Schmon Parkway and into the Niagara Region parking lot. The driver is described as a female, 20-35 years old. The plate on the vehicle may have been a veteran’s plate with a poppy on it.

On Tuesday, Jan. 22 at around 8:16 a.m., an orange Toyota Matrix was travelling west on Isaac Brock Blvd. North entering the campus when a blue or green older model Astro or Safari minivan travelling in the same direction in the other lane quickly changed lanes striking the Toyota Matrix, causing extensive damage to the front end. The van then fled the scene, entering a one-way turning lane in the wrong direction and exited the campus.

Anyone with information on the vehicles involved in these collisions is asked to contact campus security at security@brocku.ca or by phoning 905-688-5550 x4300.
