The following is a list of thesis defences taking place at Brock from Sept. 17 to 21.

All are open for the University community to attend.

Master of Science thesis defence

Luis Vargas Medina, a MSc candidate in the Department of Earth Sciences, will present his thesis defence on Tuesday, Sept. 18 at 1 in WH 147. 

His thesis is titled “Structural Analysis of Valles Marineris, Mars.

His examination committee members are Cheryl McCormick, Chair; Phil McCausland, External Examiner (Western University); Frank Fueten, Supervisor; and Marie Schmidt, Rick Cheel and Robert Stesky, Committee Members.

Child and Youth Studies MA thesis defence

Child and Youth Studies student Tara Johnston will defend the thesis “Literacy Intervention for Struggling Readers Knowledge Mobilization in our Communities” on Wednesday, Sept. 19 at 10 a.m. in PLZ 601C. 

The examination committee includes Dawn Zinga, Chair; Jennifer Rowsell, External Examiner (Brock University); John McNamara, Supervisor; Shauna Pomerantz, Graduate Program Director; Francis Owen and Samantha Sendzik, Committee Members.
