Convocation preview: Thursday, June 7

Brock’s Spring Convocation continues Thursday with ceremonies at 10 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. for the Goodman School of Business.

Professor of Accounting Pascale Lapointe-Antunes, the Faculty’s Excellence in Teaching Award recipient, will deliver the Convocation address in the morning ceremony. Lapointe-Antunes was recently given the title of Fellow and FCPA designation by the Council of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario, the highest honour in the accounting profession.

Delivering the Convocation address in the afternoon will be Bill Haines, a high-profile Goodman School of Business alumnus who recently retired as Managing Director and Global Head of Rates Trading at RBC Capital Markets after a lengthy career in the financial industry.

All of the Convocation ceremonies are free to attend and no tickets are required. Parking is free for guests throughout the week. Free Wi-Fi is also being provided to guests throughout Convocation week. The BrockEvents Wi-fi network can be accessed using the username: BROCKGRAD and password: welcome2brock!

For those who can’t make it to the Brock Campus for Spring Convocation, all of the ceremonies will be streamed at brocku.ca/livestream

Thursday morning’s Convocation ceremony will also be streamed live on the video wall in the new Goodman School of Business Atrium.
