Research Ethics Office to host information session

Brock University’s Research Ethics Office will aim to address the many questions faculty, students and staff may have about the research ethics process during an information session held next week.

The question-and-answer event will tackle topics such as conducting research on the internet, using someone else’s data for a purpose that was not identified in the original research protocol or consent processes, whether CORE training is needed for students before beginning their research, what TCPS2 is and why certain research cannot be done without abiding by it.

Faculty, students and staff are invited to bring queries, comments and discussion points about the research ethics process to the session Thursday, March 22 from 10 a.m. to noon in Cairns 207. The event is an opportunity to engage with fellow researchers and Research Ethics Office staff, and learn about new and upcoming guidelines and initiatives.

Please RSVP at reb@brocku.ca or ext. 3035.
