The Brock community is invited to attend a celebration in honour of Ghana’s 61 years of independence.
Hosted by the Brock University Ghana Association, the show, titled Mama Ghana, takes place Saturday, March 10 at the Honest Lawyer in St. Catharines. The west African nation’s independence day was March 6.
The student-led celebration will feature modelling, traditional dancing, cultural information and a performance from Kwame Vista. A red carpet will begin at 6 p.m., followed by the show at 7.
A limited number of bird tickets are available in advance for $20 through Eventbrite. After they are sold out, online ticket prices will increase to $25. Tickets will also be available at the door for $30.
