Wilma screening open to public

As part of African Heritage Month 2018, the Brock African Heritage Recognition Committee is inviting members of the public to attend a screening of the film Wilma: The Story of a Black Canadian on Saturday, Feb. 17.

The film screening will take place from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the St. Catharines Public Library.

Those in attendance will be invited to take part in a question and answer session with filmmaker Ayo Adewumi and local historian Wilma Morrison, whom the film is about.

The event is sponsored by the Office of the President and is co-sponsored by Brock University Faculty Association, Human Rights and Equity Office, History, Labour Studies, MA in Critical Sociology, Political Science, Social Justice and Equity Studies, Sociology, St. Catharines Public Library, Student Experience and Community Experience, Women and Gender Studies, MLLC and Social Justice Centre.
