Caution urged as weather worsens

Evening classes will run as scheduled at Brock University Friday, Jan. 12. University grounds crews are working to keep up with winter conditions, but anyone coming to campus Friday should allow extra travel time.

After warm temperatures melted much of the snow earlier this week, sub-zero temperatures have returned and Friday’s rain is expected to turn into freezing rain and then snow in the late afternoon.

Most of the Niagara region is expected to get about 5 centimetres of snow Friday night with south Niagara to get up to 10 centimetres. Besides the dropping temperatures, high winds are also expected to adversely affect travel conditions.
