Nominations open for Brock distinguished staff awards

With close to 6,000 faculty and staff members, Brock is filled with employees who play a significant role in making the University a rewarding place to work, a top choice for post-secondary education and a valued community partner.

In recognition of staff members who positively contribute to Brock’s working and learning environment, Human Resources annually awards two distinguished staff awards.

Nominations are now open for the President’s Distinguished Staff Service Award for Outstanding Contributions and the Human Resources Distinguished Award for Leadership. Recipients will be recognized at the President’s annual Holiday Celebration on Dec. 11, and will receive a certificate of recognition and a $500 cash reward.

The service criteria have been changed to be more inclusive. In past years, both awards were limited to staff members with a minimum of 10 years of service. They’re now open to ongoing staff members with at least 12 months of service.

Nomination forms and more details on award criteria can be found on One Brock. Deadline for nominations is Tuesday, Oct. 31.

If employees have any questions about the awards, they’re encouraged to contact Lindsay Redmond at lredmond@brocku.ca or ext. 3279.
