Lunchtime is about to get more entertaining as the Music@Noon Series returns to downtown St. Catharines.
The popular concert series, sponsored by the RBC Foundation and organized by Brock’s Department of Music, will be reignited Tuesday, Oct. 3, with the first instalment featuring cellist and Brock instructor Gordon Cleland and pianist Karin Di Bella, Director of Brock’s Centre for Studies in Arts and Culture, and Associate Professor of Piano.
The free shows, featuring various musicians, take place most Tuesdays at noon throughout the academic year in the Cairns Recital Hall of the FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre.
Cleland has performed across North America as the principal cellist of the Niagara Symphony Orchestra and has extensive experience as a chamber musician.
Di Bella has appeared as a concerto soloist with orchestras in the United States and Canada, including the Niagara Symphony, and has an active career with percussionists, vocalists and string and wind players around the continent.
The lunch-hour performances are open to the public.
