Brock University first-year student Ryan Mohaupt took part in Grape Stomp 2016. The 2017 edition of the messy university tradition takes place Friday, Sept. 15.The messiest event of the year returns to Brock University on Friday, Sept. 15.
The annual Grape Stomp takes place from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at Brock’s Jubilee Court, where teams of students will compete for prizes by dressing up in costumes and stomping away on a metric tonne of Concord grapes.
A group of children from the Rosalind Blauer Centre for Child Care on the Brock campus will get the party started by stomping their own piles of grapes at 12:30 p.m.
Around 750 Brock students will then get their chance to take part in the messy tradition, which has been ranked No. 2 out of the top Canadian university traditions by University Affairs Magazine.
The Grape Stomp event will also feature live music and a free barbecue.
