Brock plays host to international rowers

On the water they’re fierce opponents, but every night this week a group of rowers from around the world have sat down to eat together in Brock’s DeCew Dining Hall.

The University’s various residences are hosting 435 rowers in town for this week’s 135th Royal Canadian Henley Regatta in Port Dalhousie.

The rowers staying at Brock come from Australia, Brazil, Argentina and Zimbabwe, as well as four teams from across Canada and another four from across the U.S.

While some teams make their own meals, many of the athletes join together for dinner each night in DeCew.

The Henley continues on Martindale Pond until Sunday.
