Badgers wrestle way to four medals at Francophone Games

The Brock University wrestling team continued building on the momentum of another successful season by capturing four medals at the 2017 Francophone Games this weekend.

Jade Parsons (48kg), Kristina McLaren (53kg) and Jessica Brouillette (63kg) each took home gold at the international competition held in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, while Emily Schaefer (58kg) clinched the bronze.

The games continues until July 30.

Brock’s wrestlers will again hit the mat next month, with three competitors aiming for a win at the Junior World Championships in Tampere, Finland, from Aug. 1 to 6, and six competing at the Senior World Championships in Paris, France, from Aug. 21 to 26.
