Wellness Day registration coming soon

With Brock’s Wellness Day just over a month away on Thursday, June 15, registration will open at noon on Tuesday, May 23 and will close two weeks later.

The opening plenary speaker will be Brock alumna Sherry Campbell, a professional speaker and psychotherapist. Campbell is the co-founder, author and presenter of The Resilient Journey, which focuses on developing a resilient workforce with tailored workshops dealing with issues such as difficult times, managing workplace stress and different personalities, how to cope with a bad day and balancing work and life.

Campbell will give a talk on increasing our ability to deal with the curve balls life sometimes deals us.

More than 80 workshops are being offered to staff and faculty across eight areas of wellness: social, emotional, physical, financial, intellectual, environmental, occupational and spiritual.

The brochure will be posted on the Wellness Day Sharepoint page.

Because space is limited and some sessions have waitlists, anyone who registers for a workshop, but isn’t able to attend, is asked to email wellnessday@brocku.ca to cancel your registration.

The Wellness Day Penny Sale will also be held again, and donations are welcome from all staff and faculty. Contact wellnessday@brocku.ca if you know of a local business interested in providing items.

Follow Wellness Day on Twitter and Facebook for updates and details regarding Wellness initiatives and resources. A new “Employee Wellness” group has also been created on Yammer in Office 365.
