On Sunday afternoon May 7, if you’re in the north end of St Catharines, don’t be surprised if you see a larger than usual number of walkers on the Welland Canal path.

Hospice Niagara is holding its annual fund-raising Hike, and this year’s event holds special resonance for many members of the Brock community. Among many others for whom Hospice Niagara has provided palliative and end-of-life care was Steven Renzetti, Professor of Economics at Brock, and the University’s Interim Vice-President of Research. Steven passed away in February after being diagnosed with cancer several months earlier.

One group of walkers in Sunday’s Hike will constitute Team Steven Renzetti. Led by Steven’s daughter, Allie, it will also include many members and friends of the Renzetti family.
