Brock’s new partnership with Academics Without Borders (AWB) will be highlighted during an information session on Wednesday, May 3.
A presentation about the AWB and its affiliation with the University will be made from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. in the International Centre R207.
Network Consultant Dominique Van de Maele will share information about the bilingual Canadian non-governmental organization (NGO) and how Brock faculty and students can benefit from the program.
Academics Without Borders, based in Montreal, actively works to support developing countries in building capacity in higher education.
The organization aims to educate experts in developing countries to allow them to conduct research that will aid in their nation’s development.
AWB has projects that foster the skills and expertise needed for health care, education, agriculture, infrastructure, business and more in partnership with other NGOs and with academic institutions in the developed world.
A light lunch will be included at the May 3 event.
