Town Hall on March 31 will discuss Brock’s new SMA

Members of the Brock community are encouraged to attend to a Town Hall meeting Friday, March 31, for a discussion about the University’s next Strategic Mandate Agreement (SMA) that is currently being developed with the provincial government.

The meeting will be in Pond Inlet from 9:30 to 11 a.m.

A draft version of Brock’s new SMA will be posted online on Monday, March 27 for review prior to the meeting. It will be accessible through your Brock log-in ID.

SMAs, which all Ontario universities and colleges are required negotiate with the Ontario government, are documents in which institutions identify their strengths and priorities, as well as key programs that they would like to expand.

Guidelines set out by the province call for SMAs to be updated every three years. Brock signed its first SMA with the province in 2014, and will be completing its new document this spring.
