Jim Treliving and Bruce Croxon return to judge Brock’s Monster Pitch

Four student entrepreneurs from Brock University will have the chance to pitch their ideas to some big names in business next week.

The Monster Pitch finalists will pitch their innovative products and services in four different industries — pet care, private aviation, real estate and socially responsible clothing — in a head to head competition for a funding and startup services package worth $15,000.

Hosted by Brock Innovation Group, a Goodman School of Business student club, Monster Pitch is in its sixth year and is already sold out. The competition takes place at 1 p.m. Monday, April 3 at the FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre. It’s organized in partnership with the Goodman School of Business, BioLinc and is sponsored by Spark Power Corp.

The event features a returning celebrity judging panel: Jim Treliving, one of five judges on CBC’s Dragons’ Den and chairman and owner of Boston Pizza International Inc.; Bruce Croxon, co-host of BNN’s The Disruptors and CEO of Round13; Deborah Rosati, corporate director and co-founder of Women Get On Board; and Jason Sparaga, co-founder and co-CEO of Spark Power Corp. and founder of Spara Capital Partners.
