Diversity in spotlight at Thursday’s Celebration of Nations

Diversity on campus will be in the spotlight Thursday during the annual Celebration of Nations.

The annual event, held in Pond Inlet from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., gives Brock’s international community the chance to celebrate and showcase their culture through food, traditional music, dance performances and colourful displays.

Brock has more than 2,000 international students from more than 80 countries. More than 60 countries will be represented at this year’s event.

Students from the following countries have registered tables: Australia, Bangladesh, Brazil, Canada, Germany, Canada’s First Nations, Metis and Inuit peoples, Czech Republic, China, Confucius Institute, East African culture, England, France, Ghana, Greece, India, Iran, Italy, Japan, Namibia, Local Immigration Partnership, Netherlands, Nigeria, South Korea, Saudi Arabia, Scotland, Singapore, St. Kitts-Nevis, Sudan and Trinidad and Tobago.
