Brock alumni support the education of current students

The Christmas holidays are the time of year when the university experiences of students everywhere are shared in stories around the dinner table.

As students head into exams this week and then home for the holidays, the office of Alumni and Development Relations is reminding the Brock community that everyone can help give students a positive University experience through their giving.

Graduates John (BAdmin ’86) and Michele (BA ’89, BEd ’91) Zoccoli are inspired by their experiences at Brock and having made giving back to the University with their time and talent a year-round commitment.

“We support the University to help increase the value of a Brock degree. We are thankful every day for our education,” said the couple.

Despite the time they spent on campus as students, they met post-degree while working at Brock. They married and are now living in Niagara with their three children. Both John and Michele know the impact their support has on current students and are happy to do their part and help ensure the continued success of the institution.

The Zoccoli family spends their spare time volunteering within the community and at the University. John is a member of the Board of Trustees and both are Directors on the Brock University Alumni Association.

“We feel great satisfaction when we provide our time and financial support to continue the outstanding work that individuals do to support the growth of this University,” said Michele.

They both reflect fondly on their experiences at Brock, both the friends that they made and the memories.

“We have always felt a desire to give back in appreciation for all that we have gained as a result of the positive experience and connections we made through Brock,” they said.

A financial gift to Brock, large or small, has an immediate impact on current students by enhancing their learning experience, improving the learning environment and empowering faculty as educators, researchers and innovators.
