Pedestrian traffic rerouted around Taro Hall

Construction crews have started work on Taro Hall’s exterior and have blocked off the pedestrian walkway closest to Schmon Tower.

The walkway will be closed for approximately six weeks until Nov. 22.

The north stairwell in Taro Hall will also be closed at ground level until approximately Oct. 18 and will be unavailable as an emergency exit during that time. Alternate emergency exits are available through Taro Hall’s other north exit which leads to Jubilee Court, or through the other two exits on the east side of the building. The north stairwell will be available as an emergency exit once again on Oct. 19.

This construction is part of the $22-million Goodman School of Business expansion project which will feature:

  • 79,000 square feet of new and renovated space
  • Six new and nine refreshed classrooms with state-of-the-art technology
  • Large two-storey engagement Atrium
  • Five employer interview rooms
  • Bloomberg financial research lab
  • Graduate student study space, faculty research space and additional offices
