Blood donor clinics taking place on campus

Brock University is hosting a pair of annual blood donor clinics on campus this fall.

This year, the clinics will take place on Friday, Sept. 23 and Friday, Nov. 18 in the Ian Beddis Gymnasium.

Students can get involved by making a blood donation or volunteering to help out with the events.

Donate blood

Individuals can register online with Canadian Blood Services and book an appointment for the blood donor clinics.

Volunteer

Volunteers are a large part of the success of a blood drive. Student Life & Community Experience is always looking for volunteers to assist with promotions and recruitment leading up to the clinics. Volunteers are also required for the day of the event to assist with the “recovery” area.

Last year, the giving at Brock saved more than 600 lives with the on-campus blood donor clinics.

If you would like to get involved, or want more information contact Student Life & Community Experience at community@brocku.ca or 905-688-5550 ext. 6321.
