Tickets are now available for the annual Opening of Term Celebration.

The event to kick off the 2016/17 school year will be held Thursday, Aug. 25 from noon to 1:30 p.m. during the weekly farmers’ market in Jubilee Courtyard.

Acting President Brian Hutchings will host the event.

Tickets are $5 each and must be purchased in advance at the Welcome Desk or the Brock Card office.

Food options for this year include:

• Tandoori-style chicken kebabs served with cucumber yogurt sauce and warm naan bread
• Grilled portabella mushroom topped with roasted red pepper and whipped spicy siracha double-cream brie on a pretzel bun (vegetarian)
• Grilled bison burger topped with caramelized pear and Upper Canada Comfort Cream cheese

All will be served with a side of white and red quinoa salad with sundried cranberries and pecans. Beverage options included lemon iced tea or blackberry lemonade.
