Brock homecoming is coming up and registration is open

Brock University’s Homecoming Weekend is right around the corner and registration is now open.

There’s an action-packed weekend planned for Sept. 16-18 and hundreds of Badgers will be back on campus.

The weekend kicks off Friday night with a tailgate party outside the new Marilyn I. Walker School of Fine and Performing Arts downtown for the RBC Steel Blade Hockey Classic, being held for the first time at the Meridian Centre. The Brock Badgers will take on their rivals the Guelph Gryphons, in what is sure to be a game for the record books. Get hyped-up with some food and face painting before the game, then join us afterwards at Mansion House for a victory drink and music from crowd favourite, Pat Hewitt.

Festivities continue on Saturday with an assortment of varsity athletic games, reunions, wine tastings, children’s activities and more.

Come out and toast your fellow alumni at the Alumni Recognition Reception. Anyone who graduated 25 or more years ago will receive their signature cameo pin presented by newly appointed President and Vice-Chancellor Wendy Cukier (BA ’77). Fellow alumnus Ryan Pallotta (BSM ’09) will receive the 2016 Distinguished Alumni award for his achievements in the film industry, as well as awards presented to winners from other Brock faculties.

Round out your Homecoming on a high note at our signature Red Dinner on Saturday night. For $35, you will enjoy the culinary stylings of local food trucks including Gorilla Cheese, The Yellow Pear, Tony’s Corner StrEATery and Bombero’s Nachos. Your ticket also includes a complimentary glass of local wine or beer, an appetizer and dessert buffet. The evening will feature musical entertainment by solo guitarist Brad Battle. Be sure to register by Aug. 1 to enjoy this early bird pricing.

Whether you attend with fellow graduates, family or friends, this Homecoming has something for everyone. Be sure to register before tickets sell out!
