From the hill of Rodman Hall to the Austrian Alps: Travelling students’ exhibition

Brock University artists will have their work displayed in Austria next month.

In January and February 2016, Rodman Hall Art Centre invited students in visual arts and the Centre For Studies in Arts and Culture to show works and creative-writing pieces in the exhibition “Visual Appropriations and Rewritings” curated by Shawn Serfas and Catherine Parayre.

The works were installed on a vibrant yellow background, in a dark room.

As part of the research agreement between Brock University and the University of Innsbruck, the show is now traveling to Austria for the month of June and will be presented in an entirely different setting: a large high-traffic space, flooded with sunlight.

The exhibition runs June 1-30, 2016 and will be held in the Bruno-Sander-Haus at the University of Innsbruck.
