Animal ethics organization launched by Brock University professor

Tourism Management professor David Fennell launched a first-of-its-kind institute to lead research, education and advocacy for animal ethics worldwide. The International Institute for Animal Ethics (IIAE) will focus on how moral knowledge and best practice can stimulate change in the use of animals primarily in the tourism industry. This launch received local attention this week from the St. Catharines Standard, Niagara Falls Review and Welland Tribune.

Million dollar research program invests in grape and wine industry’s future

Brock’s Cool Climate Oenology and Viticulture Institute (CCOVI) is leading a five-year, $1.42 million integrated research program to improve grapevine health, wine quality, market competitiveness and the sustainability of the Canadian industry, which gained attention from media in the GTA: CHCH Morning Live.
