Rachel Dedinsky and Rob Kasowski were dressed to impress as they arrived at the 2016 Grad Send-off event looking for professional photos they could take with them when they graduate this spring.
The couple was in high spirits, laughing and joking as they discussed the future.
Dedinsky is currently studying English at Brock University and hopes to return to complete her master’s in Business.
Kasowski is studying Information Systems at Brock and is quick to announce that he is a “proud Goodman School of Business student.” He hopes to work as a Business Analyst with RBC once he takes some time to travel through central Europe.
Hundreds of graduating students celebrated their success at Grad Send-off Tuesday, March 29. The event is one of the Brock University Alumni Association’s newest events. The expo-style event highlighted the benefits of being a Brock graduate, including alumni discounts and career services advice.
The BUAA selected Matthew Santoro (BAcc ’09; MAcc ’10) to receive the 2016 Outstanding Young Alumni Award. Santoro creates engaging, in-your-face infotainment videos for his millions of YouTube fans.
During the event individuals from the Class of 2016 discussed where they hope life takes them once they complete finals next month.
Brandon Wright – Currently studying Mathematics and Computer Sciences.
“I have been offered a position with Deloitte upon graduation and I am looking forward to entering the workforce.”
Heng Yin (left) and Megan Shi – Both students are currently studying Economics at Brock.
Heng: “I love to draw and plan on returning to China and work in magazine publishing as a graphic designer.”
Megan: “I want to own my own business and become a professional photographer.”
Joy Ediale – Currently studying Political Sciences at Brock.
“I am just waiting to be accepted to my top choice Master’s program at Brock University and complete my graduate degree.”
Heidi Epp – Currently studying film at Brock.
“I’m currently studying film at Brock and am taking a year off and then hope to return to Brock to complete my Master’s Degree.”
