This week Students Against Sexual Assault is hosting a Sexual Violence Awareness Week at Brock University consisting of workshops, panels and a documentary screening.
The events are survivor-focused and intended to create safer and inclusive spaces.
“We really want to support survivors, survivorhood and survivor stories,” said SASA executive member Alex Perna. “We also want to educate the student body as well as faculty about sexual violence and sexual assault.”
She said the events this week will focus heavily on giving survivors a voice.
