PODCAST: Dual Degree graduate Asad Hussain on Conversations with Goodman

This week, Conversations with Goodman features Asad Hussain (BBA ’13), a graduate of Brock’s Bachelor of Business Administration International Dual Degree Co-op program.

Sitting in for host Susan LeBlanc, Najlaa Rauf talks to Hussain about his experience at the Goodman School of Business and his current role as a consultant at SAP in the retail, consumer goods and fashion industries.

As a BBA Dual Degree student, Hussain spent two and a half years at the Goodman School of Business and one and a half years at the EBS Business School in Germany.

One of the first students in the program, Hussain explains that “there were no success stories to model my success after,” but he is passionate about sharing his experience with future students and helping them understand the importance of gaining international experience as part of their degrees.

At SAP, Hussain has a travel-intensive job that involves understanding clients’ business strategies and helping them resolve business problems, something that the BBA Dual Degree program prepared him well for, with its case-based presentation and intercultural training.

Initially attracted to the program for its touted international exposure and the ability to receive two undergraduate degrees within 4.5 years, Hussain credits both schools with helping him to land a fantastic opportunity at SAP upon graduation.

He encourages future students to explore their international opportunities and to step outside their comfort zones, which, he says, is “where all the learning happens.”

This is the latest in the Conversations with Goodman series which is produced by the Goodman Marketing, Communications and Alumni Relations team and features guests from the Goodman community.
