Brock Radio participates in alert ready test

Brock Radio CFBU 103.7 FM participated for the first time in the National Public Awareness Test Wednesday at 10:55 a.m.

The Alert Ready system was developed in partnership with federal, provincial and territorial emergency management officials, Environment Canada and the broadcast industry to deliver critical and potentially life-saving alerts to Canadians.

“Brock Radio is pleased to be able to assist Brock and the wider community by broadcasting emergency alerts.” said CFBU Program Director, Deborah Cartmer. “Participation in the national emergency alert system allows us to disseminate important information when there is a threat to life. This could include information about natural and environmental hazards, fire, or civil emergencies.”
