Retirement party planned for John Novak

John Novak is retiring from Brock University after a 40-year academic career in the Faculty of Education.

A retirement celebration will be held Oct. 15 at Cat’s Caboose in St. Catharines between 5-7 p.m.

Novak began his academic career at Brock University on July 1, 1975, after receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy from Ohio University, a Master of Arts degree in Education and Teacher Certification from Western Carolina University, and an EdD in Psychological and Social Foundations of Education from the University of Florida.

He is a leading scholar of Deweyan philosophy and a world-renowned expert in invitational education and leadership.
