Distinguished staff award nominations open

The Brock University Distinguished Staff Service Awards are open for nominations from all members of the Brock Community.

These annual awards are just one way that Brock provides recognition to some of our outstanding employees.

As an integral part of Brock’s Total Rewards system since 1995, rewards and recognition are unique in that they are determined by a representative committee from across the university rather than by an employee’s supervisor.  Nominations can be made by any member of the Brock community, and are endorsed by three other members, so the winners receive a strong message of support.

There are two awards to choose from:

The President’s Distinguished Staff Service Awards are presented to up to four people – two support/technical/maintenance employees and two administrative/professional employees. Recipients receive a certificate of recognition and a cash award of $500.

The Human Resources Distinguished Staff Services Award for Leadership recognizes one ongoing staff member who has a record of leading and working collaboratively, engaging faculty and staff, furthering the development of a respectful work and learning environment and culture, and building strong relationships and partnerships that enable the University to implement its strategic plan and related initiatives effectively. The recipient will receive a certificate of recognition and a cash award of $500.

The awards will be presented at the President’s annual holiday celebration on Dec. 15, 2015.

For more information and the nomination and endorsement forms, visit the Human Resources Compensation webpage: http://brocku.ca/hr-ehs/compensation

The call for nominations for these two staff awards is open until Oct. 30, 2015.
