Pass the peas at today’s farmers market

Today’s the day to give peas a chance.

Fresh snow peas will be among the offerings at today’s farmers market in Jubilee Court. Niagara College will sell 175-gram bags – perfect for snacking on this afternoon – for $3.

Still don’t have your garden in order? The college has you covered for that, too. Four-inch annuals are on sale 15 for $15.

And for those craving carbs, there’s bread, baked this morning, to provide you with your fix.

Market day is made even sweeter with White Meadows Farms joining the vendors this week with their maple butter tarts, maple kettle corn and other maple goodness.

Good news for Racquel Alongi, who has a $10-gift certificate to spend at the market.

And on the bocce court, it’s the Student Development Centre taking on Student Awards and Financial Aid. Email wparent@brocku.ca to reserve your spot for your department team challenge with washer toss, bean bag toss, ladder ball or bocce.

The market runs from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
