Part 1. The program includes:

– An overview of current funding opportunities presented by the Office of Research Services staff;

– A panel discussion by faculty members who have recently served on NSERC, CIHR and SSHRC evaluation committees will address what happens in the committee room;

– Small-group roundtable discussions will be led by faculty members and ORS staff. Topics include how to write a budget, how to write an effective lay summary, how to build Canadian Common CV, how to write knowledge mobilization/knowledge translation/impact sections, and more;

Part 2. An acknowledgement and celebration of the efforts of all colleagues to advance knowledge, apply for grants, and mentor students over the past year. The Office of the Vice-President Research is providing hors d’oeuvres. There will be a cash bar.
