Introduction to clinical trial research workshop set for March 7

Do you conduct clinical trial research?

The most common clinical trials are biomedical and behavioural, but Canada’s Tri-Council Policy Statement: Ethical Conduct for Research Involving Humans (TCPS2) defines a clinical trial as any form of investigation involving participants that evaluates the effects of one or more health-related interventions on a health outcome.

An introductory session on clinical trials, the regulations that govern them, and relevant ethical considerations involved for both researchers and REB members is scheduled for Friday:

Presenter: Maureen Nummelin, PhD, Chief Ethics Officer, University of Waterloo

Venue: Room 207, Cairns Family Health and Bioscience Research Complex, Brock University, Friday March 7, 9:30 a.m. to 12 noon

Contact: x3035 or x5181
