Brock Toastmasters host talk on leadership opportunities

They’re about more than just mastering the art of public speaking.

The Toastmasters are also an organization with plenty of leadership opportunities.

To highlight that, the Brock Toastmasters are hosting Jim Kokocki, Toastmasters International first vice-president and a 26-year veteran of the club, to present his keynote speech ‘Developing People, Achieving Results.’

The speech, which happens Monday, Nov. 25 from noon to 1 p.m. in the 13th floor boardroom, offers lessons from Kokocki’s own leadership journey, including a major miscalculation. He will also discuss the leadership opportunities available within the Toastmasters.

The Brock Toastmasters club is one of 14,350 such groups throughout the world. The Brock edition was founded by alumna Carolyn Hoxie.
